"The whole experience was great! I spoke with Taozen several times over the past two months and they came to my home three different times to work out details and give me an accurate quote. They were able to schedule my job three days earlier than planned and it was done in the time that they gave me. My husband and I had bought our flooring on our own and it turns out that there were a couple of snags during installation since it was a less expensive floor. However, Taozen’s crew were fantastic installers and did a great job on it. I was a bit hesitant but in the end, it looked beautiful and was exactly what we wanted--I would buy it again! The crew moved quickly and addressed any questions or changes that we had immediately. They were professional and didn't cut any corners. They even worked all day on a Saturday to finish the project. "Overall I had best experience working with Tao and his team. I submitted a request for quote on Friday evening. Taozen contacted me and scheduled an appointment on Saturday, which was very convenient for me. They arrived in time all prepared with many samples. We discussed all the details of the project including the schedule, materials and all other things. I received the estimate after a couple days. I was confused about the total sq ft of my condo, so Taozen offered to meet again and re-measure. The initial sq fts were correct, so it was my bad to call for the second appointment. I got five quotes from other A-rated companies, and Taozen’s price was the best! Plus, at the end I got a discount!!! All work took 4-5 days. I checked the condo a few times during the installation and the guys were super friendly and professional. The new floor looks AMAZING! Very solid work. "Taozen was a delight from start to finish. They were responsive, personable, down to earth, professional, and just really pleasant to deal with. What I really appreciated was their down to earth attitude about the floors, which had water damage in spots in the kitchen and what looked like stains from past pets in the bedrooms, so that the floors were darkened in areas. I had talked to other flooring companies about replacing the damaged areas and was mulling proposals that were in the range of $5K. Taozen looked at the floors, asked how old the house is (it's around 140 years old), and said that’s not damage. The house is old. It's got character! With that simple attitude adjustment, I saved myself $3K! They squeezed the job in at a time when *all* landlords in Boston are looking to rehab in time for September move-in dates, the crew were accommodating, polite, and cheerful, and the price was completely reasonable compared to others. "This was an A+ project as far as we are concerned. Taozen was very responsive when initially contacted and assisted us in determining the best approach to changing the flooring on our main floor. The existing flooring presented a lot of challenges, as there were three different materials (carpet, linoleum and tile) on primarily concrete subfloors of different heights. The end result was excellent with a beautiful solid hardwood floor all perfectly level. This work was part of a larger remodeling and was scheduled for a specific day, 2 months in advance. Nonetheless, Taozen appeared on site on the scheduled day and the crew completed the installation in 4 days as planned. The team was very professional, competent and very neat. We were anticipating a very messy situation during removal of the tile and linoleum but at the end of the first day when this work was completed, things were left in very good condition. Taozen let us know what to expect to be accomplished each day and remained on the site until that was achieved. As a result we felt very comfortable with the process as well as the result. We would definitely use Taozen for any future flooring project and would highly recommend them."

"We have already recommended Taozen to friends and will continue to do so. Taozen did a superb job of refinishing the hardwood on a full floor and installation / sanding / finishing of hardwood on a second floor of our house. As we worked to get estimates, Taozen was the most thorough in their assessment and quote. They were able to uncover that there was a layer of particle board between the existing wall-to-wall carpet and the sub-floor that needed to be removed prior to installation of the new hardwood (something that neither of the other two contractors identified in their estimate and would have likely cost me more money in the end). The team worked under very tight time windows to complete their work given our inflexible move-in date. The team worked long hours, but did not rush their work. The work completed was meticulous and thorough. Baseboards were removed to ensure that the new hardwoods were set properly, alignment/staggering of boards was consistent, and cuts around rounded or non-linear edges were accurate. Through the process, we had good correspondence with Taozen to understand the progress and ensure that we were comfortable with the decisions that had to be made. As we were unsure of stain color and finish, they were able to apply sample stain to ensure that we could see how the color would actually look in our environment. As a note, we used Bona water-based stain and water-based, high traffic satin finish. The floors look fantastic and exceeded our expectations. Given the amount of square footage of new installation and the work that was completed, we are comfortable that this was a good value. You get what you pay for with Taozen. We have received many complements from friends/visitors on our floors since they completed the work. We were completely satisfied with every step of the process and would use Taozen again if the opportunity were there."

"Taozen was responsive to our need and communicated frequently and fully throughout the process. They came and provided a detailed quote of what the job would cost as well as a date when the work would be done. Then, when a conflict developed with painters who would be working in the same space developed, they rearranged their schedule to accommodate - with the crew working over an entire weekend to do the job before the painters arrived. The team did a GREAT job...very neat throughout, removing and disposing of all the carpet, cleaning up after themselves thoroughly. All cuts are perfect with no cracks and the finishing work is flawless. As you can tell, my wife and I are both thrilled with the result! "I contacted Taozen after the person I had already lined up for doing the floors of my apartment didn't show up. I had a tight time-window for getting my floors done. I called Taozen after a friend recommended Angie's list as a reliable source for finding people to do the work. So, I joined Angie's list, did my homework and picked Taozen and another company based on their reviews. Within an hour of placing the calls and leaving messages, Taozen got back to me, and I explained I needed to get the floors done ASAP since I was moving in in a week's time. They agreed to come to the apartment to look at the floors at 2 pm same day. They were right on time. Taozen agreed to do the floors on Monday, they would be done by Thursday and I could move in as planned. The crew showed up on Monday at 9 AM as agreed.
